Who We Are
ThriveCare Clinic was born from the vision of Dr. Mark Paul Mayala, a dedicated physician who saw the need for a facility that could provide long-term care for critically ill patients. Over years of managing patients who could no longer remain in hospitals due to extended stays—and whose families were unable to provide adequate care at home—Dr. Mayala envisioned a space where these patients could receive personalized, compassionate care in an ideal environment.
The idea was strengthened by the insights of a skilled surgeon, Dr. Daniel Muganyizi, who recognized the importance of continued care for his post-surgical patients. Having seen the challenges these patients faced in their recovery, Dr. Muganyizi envisioned a place where comprehensive care could facilitate better outcomes and faster recovery, ensuring his patients received the support they needed beyond the operating room.
The vision was further enriched by Dr. Lameck Luwanda, a researcher specializing in Artificial Intelligence applications in healthcare. Dr. Luwanda identified the need to integrate advanced technologies to enhance patient care and streamline processes. His innovative approach to diagnostics and treatment added a forward-thinking dimension to the clinic’s mission, ensuring ThriveCare could provide cutting-edge care to those who need it most.
Together, these shared perspectives and expertise form the foundation of ThriveCare Clinic—a place where compassion, innovation, and excellence come together to help patients heal, recover, and thrive.
